MICROCHIPPING

A microchip is a permanent pet ID. The microchip itself has no internal energy source, so it will last the life of your pet. It is read by passing a microchip scanner over the pet’s shoulder blades. The scanner emits a low radio frequency that provides the power necessary where the chip is located to transmit the microchip’s unique cat or dog ID code and positively identify the pet.

DENTISTRY

Dental health is a very important part of your pet’s overall health, and dental problems can cause, or be caused by, other health problems. Your pet’s teeth and gums should be checked at least once a year by your veterinarian to check for early signs of a problem and to keep your pet’s mouth healthy.

VACCINATIONS

Like people, pets need vaccines. And pet vaccinations, like those for humans, may sometimes require a booster to keep them effective. The best way to stay on schedule with vaccinations for your dog or cat is to follow the recommendations of a veterinarian you trust.

REPRODUCTION ADVICE

Everyone loves pets! To aid in the miracle of bringing these new fluffy lives into the world, we offer several reproductive services including counselling for the responsible breeding of dogs and cats. Through an examination of the pedigree, physical examination, laboratory diagnostics and radiographs can reveal the potential for problems.

NUTRITION ADVICE

Isapet Veterinary clinic offers compassionate, qualified advice, based on years of experience. You entrust the life of your pet to those who supply your pet’s food. Take the time to be certain that the food you buy or the person you obtain nutrition advice from is qualified and unbiased. We can complement regular veterinary treatment with supportive nutrition

DENTAL CARE

Dental disease in dogs and cats is very common and very dangerous. Left untreated, it can lead to major problems like heart disease and kidney failure. Regular dental care is critical to your pet’s health, but they can’t do it alone. Isapet is here to help you brush up on your pet’s dental needs.

BEHAVIOURAL ADVICE

We all recognize that in addition to preventive healthcare, necessary medical care, great nutrition, regular exercise, and grooming, acceptable behaviour is necessary for a happy long-term relationship with your cat or dog. Although pets are most certainly part of our family, they do not relate and communicate the same as we do. We must relate to them as pets, not as we would with people.

CANCER TREATMENT

Animal cancer is common. It is the leading natural cause of death in dogs and the second leading cause in cats. Around 50% of all dogs and 30% of cats will be affected by a tumor in their lifetimes, and one report shows that 50% of dogs over the age of 10 will die from cancer. As Isapet Veterinary Clinic, we take great care for your friend.

SPAY AND NEUTER

believes that all cats and dogs adopted from public or private animal care and control facilities should be spayed or neutered (i.e., sterilized). Such sterilization includes prepubertal spaying and neutering of kittens and puppies. We encourage Pet owners to work with us to determine the appropriate sterilization ages for individual cats and dogs.

DIAGNOSTIC TESTING

Even young and healthy pets need diagnostic testing, so just because your puppy seems healthy, doesn’t mean that you should be hesitant to have them tested.

We do our diagnostic testing in collaboration with pathcarekenya.com and

lancet.co.ke

HEALTH CERTIFICATES

When travelling with your pet(s), there may be animal health requirements specific for that destination. As soon as you know your travel details, contact us to assist with the pet travel process. Factors to consider may include meeting time frames for obtaining a health certificate, updating vaccinations, diagnostic testing, or administration of medications.

ANNUAL WELLNESS EXAMS

A wellness examination is a routine medical examination of a pet that is apparently healthy, as opposed to an examination of a pet that is ill. A wellness examination may also be called a ‘check-up’ or a ‘physical examination’. The focus of a wellness visit is the maintenance of optimal health for your best friend.

FERAL SPAY AND NEUTER

Spaying and Neutering is good for cats and communities. These surgical procedures are performed by veterinarians to sterilize animals, making them incapable of reproducing. This is particularly important for cats: a female can become pregnant as young as four months of age and can have two to three litters a year. We will be glad to take care of your pet.

PUPPY AND KITTEN CARE

Bringing a new puppy or kitten home is a very exciting time for a family. We will help to make this an amazing experience for you and your pet by providing the best medical care both now and in the future. Starting out with the proper medical care gives your puppy or kitten a great start to a long and healthy life.
